5 Unique Places to Shop in Paris

There’s no shortage of shopping opportunities in Paris, that’s for sure! However, since there are so many options when it comes to shopping, how do you choose where to spend your time and money? Of course, you have all of the designer stores, but here are a few places where the prices are less, and the things are just as cool! Have other places you love to go while in Paris? 1.    Passage des Panoramas

This popular passage is filled with a few amazing restaurants and unique shopping opportunities. Passage des Panoramas is the perfect place to snap some great pictures, eat an authentic Italian lunch at Racines, and find some one-of-a-kind souvenirs. We highly recommended trying to snag a spot at Racines, however, it’s super tiny and can be hard to get a space. Even if you don’t plan on eating or shopping, it’s still worth walking through and window shopping!

2.    Merci

Merci, the most famous concept store in Paris, is a must-visit in our opinion. With several cafes, home goods, clothing, and other quintessential merchandise, this shop has it all. Take a walk around the diverse shop and once you’re done looking at everything they have to offer (may take a while!) grab a seat at their used book café for a cup of coffee. Boulevard Beaumarchais (street Merci is located on), is also a great shopping destination, so be sure to scout out the area for other shopping opportunities.

3.    Empreintesparis

Another must-visit concept store in Paris is Empreintesparis. Tucked away in a small alleyway, you’ll find this design forward shop. This concept store is more like an art museum than a shop, however, there are still tons of purchasing options (I believe all of the art and pottery is for sale.) We ended up buying a small ceramic piece, which we fell in love with! If you’re looking for an extremely unique souvenir and something you will cherish for years to come, head over to Empreintesparis for a one-of-a-kind gift, both big and small.

4.    Officine Universelle Buly

While this traditional French pharmacy has multiple locations across Europe, the store in Paris is the only one worth visiting. Established in 1803, just visiting this shop is a historic experience on its own. You will find items like water-based perfumes, candles, endless skin care products, and much more. The best part is that once you purchase something, they have an on-site calligrapher who writes your name on whatever you buy. This makes for the ultimate personalized gift, or just an awesome memory for yourself!

 5.    Atelier Cologne

Atelier Cologne is a perfumerie and their products make for great gifts as well, for yourself or someone back at home. Everything in this store smells amazing, so don’t worry about going wrong with whatever scent you choose. You can buy a small perfume and they will put your initials on a leather case for the perfume. I personally take it everywhere with me since it fits perfectly in a carry-on or purse!
