When in London (and basically everywhere else!,) coffee is a necessity. While there are almost endless places to have a coffee break, here are a few of our favorite coffee shops in London. If you’re looking for more London inspiration, be sure to follow our brand ambassador @Jenna.goes.to on the Jet Journal app! She has you covered from where to have tea in London, to sharing about some essential brunch spots in the city.

Even though this brunch spot and wine bar may be a bit out of the way for some, it is located on such a cute street and the coffee, food, and laid back environment makes it worth the trip! We had a pretty basic, but delicious, breakfast. Our favorite was the banana bread with espresso cream cheese. It is the perfect spot for a light breakfast or lunch, and if you’re looking for something a little bit heavier, be sure to come for dinner. Although we didn’t get the chance to try out their wine and small plates, their menu looks delicious, so next time we’re back in London we will have to try it out!

With multiple locations around London, Caravan serves coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you’re just looking for coffee, you can take a seat in their café section of the restaurant. Their pastry selection is extensive and the coffee is a perfect pick-me-up for a rainy London afternoon. Small note, some locations take brunch bookings and others don’t, so just be sure check. The Fitzrovia location does take reservations, so we would recommend a booking, so you can skip the wait!

This coffee shop also has a few locations around London. Be sure not to miss out on their baked goodies! We tried their chocolate cookie sandwich with espresso frosting and it was absolutely deliciousssss. Out of all the coffee shops on this list, this is probably the most authentic shop if you’re looking for a genuine cup of coffee. P.S. they also sell a London coffee map for 3 pounds, so if you’re looking to explore more of the city’s coffee scene, then this would be a great investment! (We regretted not buying one)

For those looking to get some very aesthetic looking, coffee shop photos, then Elan is your place. They have definitely aimed their décor at the instagrammer crowd! You’ll find the walls covered in flowers, neon signs, and other picturesque items. Enough about the décor though, let’s talk food! There is no shortage of drink or food options at Elan. From coconut milk lattes to macaroons, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Be sure to show up early or go during an off-time so that you can skip the wait.
