Possibly the Best Hotel in Miami Beach: 1Hotel

This hotel has popped up several times on my timeline, but mainly the New York locations (one in Central Park and one in Brooklyn). I’m a sucker for good design, especially if plants are involved! When I was planning my trip to Miami and the Bahamas, I realized they had a location in South Beach (score!). We were going to go from Paris to Miami then onto the Bahamas. We figured Miami would break up the flights, so we decided to stop on the way into the Bahamas and on the way out as well.

Since we were going to get the chance to stay at two Miami hotels, we figured we’d splurge on one and stay at a more budget friendly option. I’ll share about the more budget friendly option as well!

So, back to the 1Hotel. Definitely worth the splurge! At the end of our two-night stay, we were not ready to leave. Here are a few reasons you have to stay at the 1 Hotel in South Beach:

The Room

We got upgraded to an ocean view room and it was INCREDIBLE. May be one of my favorite hotel rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I’ll just let the pictures do the talking.

The Food

The hotel had several restaurants, including a Michelin star, Habitat, which had incredible steak. They also have a coffee shop, vegan restaurant, and a rooftop bar/restaurant.

Try the steak and the smores dessert (oh and don't forget the glass of red wine)

The Services

The hotel is a bit disconnected from the rest of South Beach, about a 30-minute walk from the main shopping and restaurants. On the bright side though, the hotel offers Teslas that will drop you off anywhere in South Beach. The hotel also has a hospitality room that guests can use (if available) to shower or change following their check out.

The Pools

1Hotel has the only rooftop pool in South Beach. Yeah, I didn’t believe it either when I heard it, but it is! However, the rooftop is for adults only. There are three other pools on the property though, so no worries if you’re traveling with kids!

Point being, you have to stay here if you get the chance! Yes, it is a bit expensive, but worth it for just a night or two. We can't wait for our next visit to 1Hotel, whether that be in South Beach or in NYC later this summer. We'll keep you posted on which we prefer!
